Case histories

Here is some case histories using absent healing.

Incurable illness. A woman had polymyalgia - painful muscles - which was affecting her quality of life and required her to take steroid drugs to relieve the pain. Her doctor said it was incurable and would have to run its course. During her treatment she rapidly became able to move without discomfort and live a normal life. A blood test showed that she no longer had polymyalgia and she discontinued her steroid treatments.

Recovery from illness. A man in his 80s was admitted to hospital suffering from attacks of severe abdominal pain and vomiting. On release he was still very weak, spent most of each day in bed and was unable to walk unaided or to dress himself. With healing he steadily improved, first physically and then in his spirits. After six weeks he was able to go outside again and he went on to make a full recovery. His wife described this as “miraculous”.

Help with pain. A woman was in pain from an ulcer flaring up. The pain had gone after a week and she said the healing enabled her to lie still and relax even while the pain was still there.

Restoring movement. A woman in her 70s had a painful right knee which was preventing easy movement and which she was afraid would eventually cripple her. At the end of the treatment period she commented that she “didn’t even think about her knee any more”.

Healing a horse. A 9 year old horse had a habit of rearing while being ridden. The problem was thought to be pain in her back but no way had been found of relieving this. With treatment she became calmer, would stand still when being mounted, was able to be ridden in shows again, and seemed happier in herself. When I last spoke to her owner she said that she had ridden the horse bareback for the first time “because she didn’t seem to mind”.
